And yet I care so much about them.
Statement chairs are so the fad right now. Only, I don't think they're a fleeting fad. They're here to stay. They just make such a...well, statement. Changing out a chair can change an entire room. The aura, the qi - however you want to put it - is altered.
I fall in love with a different chair on the regular. We're not in the market to invest in any chairs right now, as much as I want too (investment: what I call a bigger ticket item to make it sound like a mature, responsible thing to buy). But when One Kings Lane told me about their Complete Guide to Modern Chairs I couldn't help but take a peek.
Which got me thinking. I've been wanting to recover my dining room chairs. That's not investing in anything new. And they're awful. Some are borderline scary. One has crossed that border. I got half of them off Craigslist with my table and half I happened to stumble upon at Goodwill (what are the chances?!). I discovered later that the Goodwill ones are about an inch shorter, but who cares!
They're kind of mission style, so the tribal feel of the current fabric works. Or, rather, worked. I'm in the brainstorming phase. And instead of being my regular, mildly headstrong self, I'm being wishy-washy and can't decide! What do you think?

Or maybe I need to go blue?!
Is there a set you're most fond of or a particular fabric? I'd love some feedback!
