As I teenager I won a ceramic blue ox from a church auction - I used to hide it around the house to taunt and annoy my mom. For years. A decade, actually. And now here I am, living in Minnesota - home of a famous blue ox named Babe - I love that she was an extraordinary creature, besting feats believed to unbeatable. That's how I like to envision myself (on the good days), being strong and thriving no matter what life throws at me. I also love the idea that oxen are stronger when yoked together - I'm stronger when working with those around me. We get further together.
